Just signed up for GoodReads account.  I think I will get a lot of use out of it.  Just need to explore more.  My link is http://www.goodreads.com/friend/i?i=LTM2MjM2NzkwNzQ6NDI2.  I am not good at writing or submitting reviews so I doubt I will contribute a lot but just like the idea of being able to keep track of what I have read and want to read. 

EBOOKS!-- easy!  I downloaded Distant shores by Kristin Hannah.  Now the directions say to read the book correct??  Guess I can sit here @ my desk and read away.  Just a chapter here and there?  Still waiting for extra $$ to buy a KindleFire... that will probably never happen.  My only hope will probably be Santa next year.  I still feel like in order to feel really comfortable with the gadgets you need to own one.  With such low salaries & high living expenses it just doesn't seem  necessary yet.  Guess when all the libraries close everybody will the forced to purchase one.

Well looking forward to the next "thing"- Goodreads.  Have been thinking about joining because when I find a book I may be interested in reading I always consult both Amazon & Goodreads for people's reviews.  Also seems like a good way to keep track of books.  Better than Word files titled "Books read" and "Books to read"

Of course I have to show everybody our latest milestone...  Mom & Bud tied the knot on December 29th, 2012.They are such a happy couple.  Can't wait to travel to PA to visit.   Sounds like a lovely place & such nice folks.  So glad our family has expanded.

Joined Twitter last week.  Been experimenting.  #askourlibrary has only 20 followers (myself included).  Gosh this must be not be used nearly as much as Facebook.  Guess it is most useful receiving tweets from more famous people like Obama or Ryan Secreast.  Ryan's last tweet is "You ever pee and wash your hands then have to pee again because the water is so cold?"  That is some newsworthy stuff.

The library's Facebook is pretty informative. Up to the minute info about hours and statuses like the broken printer is cool. 770 likes isn't bad?

Well one step closer to opening a Facebook account...  really considering taking the plunge.  I don't care to post much about me personally but would love keeping up with my "lively mother" & other things of interest.  I'm just afraid it will be another thing to have to monitor or time waster.   Will see... may just have to jump on the bandwagon.  (again---ugh)

Off to explore Twitter...
